Weber Genesis Grill S310 Review

The Weber Genesis Grill S310 is a solid grill built for many years of quality performance.

Featuring an enclosed cart with stainless steel doors and handles for easy cleaning, the S310 also has a center mounted thermometer bordered with cast aluminum end caps.

Weber's well known porcelain enameled Flavorizer bars help eliminate flare-ups from grease dripping, such as you often see with lava rocks or ceramic briquettes. The bars vaporize fats and juices when the drips hit them, creating a delicious smoky flavor to the food.

There is enough room on the grill that you can cook indirectly or if you choose a hot sear area, you still have room on the grill for cooler cooking.

What We Like

weber genesis grill s310 The grill assembles fairly quickly for such a large, complicated item. The instructions are easily followed.

The Weber Genesis grill S310 is well constructed of stainless steel and aluminum.

The only plastic to be found is in the wheels, and that plastic is durable enough to be up to the task.

The base is fully enclosed with thick stainless steel. Looks great!

The temperature gauge is located right in the front center and is large enough to read easily.

The grill heats evenly and the flavorizers do a great job in catching drips to prevent flare-ups. The cooking grates are also made of stainless steel.

What We Don't Like

The position of the control knobs on the Weber Genesis grill S310 can be a bit limiting on your work space.

The hood of the grill has the vents on top instead of in the back like they used to be. If you get a lot of rain or your grill is exposed to the weather, the water is directed by the vents onto the knobs and side table.

The price is a bit high when compared to similar grills.

Some customers have had difficulty with the instructions, which are only done with illustrations. While most mail order items of this size may arrive safely, it is terribly disappointing when you've spent so much only to have it arrive with damage.

The warming rack can pop out of place if it is hit with a utensil while cooking and may land on your food below or worse, on you.

Summary

The Weber Genesis grill S310 is a high quality grill. While not without its detriments, overall it will do what it is supposed to do and look good doing it.

While it is expensive, it does give you less plastic than its contemporaries, choosing to alternate the stainless steel with aluminum.

The ultimate test of any grill is how well it cooks, and for that the Weber gas grill S310 performs well. At the time of writing this review Amazon has it ppriced at$799.00 with free shipping
