Vermont Castings 3517P Propane BBQ Grill

by Jennifer Keith
(Lexington, VA, USA)

I decided to buy a Vermont Castings Propane Grill after the grill I bought from Lowe’s three years before needed to be replaced. I was originally looking for a grill that would be durable, last longer than the $150 grill I purchased from Lowe’s, and cook more evenly than my cheap grill.

When I began researching companies that manufactured top of the line grills Vermont Castings was one name I saw over and over. I was already familiar with their wood stoves and the great reputation that they have; so, I decided to look into purchasing a grill from Vermont Castings.

Because I am internet savvy, I did most of my research online. I don’t have a huge space to fit a grill (a medium size back deck) so I knew one of their three burner grills would fit best. There are a wide variety of features available on the three burner grills and it takes some time to decide what you need in a grill.

I decided on the Vermont Castings 3517P Propane BBQ Grill. This grill offers 400 square inches of cooking space on the main grill and even more space on the racks.

This is perfect for cooking up enough burgers and dogs for a get together, or more sophisticated ribs and fish for dinner with friends. I bought my grill with the optional rotisserie kit and side burner package.

I did research online to find the best price for the grill and looked at many online retailers. The prices ranged dramatically (anywhere from $700 - $599). I eventually purchased the grill from Stover’s Liquidation. The grill was $549 plus shipping and handling.

We have found the grill to be the best grilling experience ever. It heats evenly, cooks everything perfectly, and is easy to clean. I would definitely purchase a Vermont Castings grill again.
