Smokey Joe Silver Weber Portable Grill Review

by Scott
(Delaware, OH, USA)

I purchased my Smokey Joe Silver weber portable grillover six years ago and it is still chugging along. I love it. We use it all spring, summer, and fall on our deck and patio and in the yard. We chose this portable grill because it was the cheapest one we could find in this brand and because there is only the two of us. We wanted something lightweight that we could store in our shed or garage and would not take up a lot of space, but was big enough to cook for four. This grill fit that bill perfectly.

We have used both charcoal and hardwood briquettes in this grill, and both work well. The grill heats up quickly without the need for starter fluid and keeps the heat for a long time too, so you never run out of heat to cook with. We have served as many as 20 people from this little grill. It works great.

The only complaint I have about this grill is that the tray for the ashes has rusted a bit over the years of use. It still holds the ashes, but it just looks bad. However, after six years of steady use, this is really not a valid complaint for this little wonder of a grill. The rest of the grill looks used but is still in good shape. The black paint is not chipped or rusted and the handle is in good condition too, even though I have not exactly taken good care of it (left it out in the elements a few times).

I would totally recommend this grill to anyone. It works perfectly for my family and friends and I have no real complaints. I plan to keep using this grill for years to come or until it finally kicks the bucket. Then I will go out and buy the same model all over again!
