Char Broil Gas Grill 4 Burner Review

I received this four-burner Char Broil Gas Grill for this 2008 Christmas. It was purchased at The Home Depot by my parents and I am not sure of the price they ended up paying for it. So far I have used this grill to cook four t-bone steaks, a bunch of different vegetables and a couple of racks of pork ribs.
The four burners make it very easy to regulate the cooking temperature inside the grill and there is ample cooking surface to accommodate bigger meals.
I am still quit skeptical of the construction materials of the grill in the long-term use. It seems most of the metal (especially the lid) seems to be made of a pretty small gauge and I worry about the potential of the grill rusting quit fast.
Luckily I am able to keep this grill out of the elements, but I am not sure I would recommend this grill to anyone that must keep it outside without at least a cover. It was extremely easy to assemble and had very clear instructions.
One note about the user guide this grill came with is that it does not say anything one way or the other about using lava rocks! I have not used them, but worry every time I am grilling.
Overall, I think this grill will keep me happy for the next couple of years and I do cook a bunch!
To summarize, the cooking surface is very adequate, the four burners make it extremely easy to regulate the grills temperature evenly on both sides, but I believe Char Broil needs to use a heavier gauge material to lengthen the longevity of this very nice looking grill.
Yes, I would recommend this grill as a short term solution, but will be upgrading in the next few years.
