Char Broil Big Easy ReviewOil-less Turkey Fryer
The Char-Broil Big Easy Using infrared technology, Char broil the Big Easy uses no oil at all. There is no spattering to worry about and it produces a turkey that is moist and healthy. The infrared heat circles cook the meat evenly, sealing in the juices for a delicious meal. It cooks quickly too… only 8 to 10 minutes per pound of meat. You can go ahead and marinate your meat, and with this style of cooking, you can also use a rub or seasoning on the outside, unlike a traditional turkey fryer. A drip pan below catches all the juices so you can also make gravy from your bird. You can also use it for chickens, roasts and other large cuts. What We LikeIt is easy to use… all you do is hook up the propane tank and turn it on. The meat cooks quickly and the juices are sealed in, creating a juicy, flavorful result. The removable drip pan catches anything that does drip out, so you can make traditional gravy. Unlike a traditional turkey fryer, you can also use a seasoning rub on your bird. The unit is recommended for a turkey up to 16 pounds, but you can cook a larger bird in there with a little patience and a bit of foil. What We Don't LikeIt takes awhile to assemble the Char Broil Big Easy. If you follow the directions, however, it isn't too difficult. You do need to heat up the unit after assembly to burn off any residues inside, and then season the inside with a little oil. This produces a plume of smoke, so don't be alarmed. The basket does not come with any way to make shelves, but with a little ingenuity, you can create safe shelves so you can stack chicken pieces or cook some sweet potatoes or other veggies in there at the same time.
